The Journey

Our trip to Canada was a LONG one to say the least...but we saw lots of beautiful places along the way. Here are some pictures of our road trip.

West Texas Sunrise

It seems like it took us forever to get out of the big wonderful state of Texas! We spent our first night in Lubbock and then another 5 hours or so before we got to the Oklahoma border. An hour or so later we were already out of Oklahoma and in Colorado!

Our second night we stayed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Wyoming was absolutely beautiful!

Our last night we stayed in Great Falls, Montana. I have to say, I think Montana was the most beautiful of all. After being in the car for 3 days we were sooo ready to be to our house! This is our last stretch of the trip!

So pretty!

We finally made it to Canada! We're almost there, 5 hours to go!

Edmonton, the Capital of Alberta
Now we're only about 15 minutes from our house in Sherwood Park!

I've never been so happy to see an exit sign in my life! Thank God we don't have to travel this four day trip for at least another year. = )

Sherwood Drive to our neighborhood. I love all of the "Christmas trees"!

The entrance to our neighborhood!

Even though the trip was long and my back was killing me by the time we got here, it was a lot of fun to get to drive across the country. Luckily, our sweet pup Chester was very well behaved and calm (and very sleepy) thanks to some tranquilizers. = ) Don't worry they didn't knock him out they just made him pretty much lay there instead of being crazy and looking out the window every 5 minutes. He was also very happy to get to our house and have a yard to run and play in. So...that's our journey. Now we're here, getting settled, learning the area and enjoying the nice weather while we can. = ) There will be more to come. I will post pictures of our precious little house very soon!
